Waterfall Canyon 9.6.13

I have started hiking a little more this summer.  Well, I've gone twice, but that's still more than I normally go.  Now that I have been running, it has been a lot easier for me to hike, and I am really enjoying it.  Earlier this summer, I went with my extended family to Waterfall Canyon in Ogden, UT.  My husband wasn't able to go, and I literally carried my 2-year-old up most of the mountain.  It was worth it.  I love that hike.

Last weekend, my friend and I decided to do the same hike.  It was so fun and the views were gorgeous!  Here are a few pictures from the waterfall.

I am no photographer, but I do enjoy beautiful shots, and I tried to get a good one of the sun peeking out behind these rocks.  Weird purple glare-but it's still pretty.

A couple other hikes that I want to do are Adam's Canyon in Layton, UT, and Ben Lomand Peak in North Ogden, UT.  I did half of Adam's Canyon with my husband and kids last summer, and I did Ben Lomand when I was about 14 years old.  I do have a few others on my list, but I'll have to see how many I can fit in.  It felt amazing to be up in the mountains!  I can't wait to go on many more hikes- hopefully before it gets too cold.
